One-Time Fees

  • Site Set Up — These fees will include the costs for designing and developing your web site. The exact cost will depend on the complexity and size of your web site. Simple sites with four or five pages can start as low as $250.00.  For a quote, contact me.

Ongoing Fees

  • Domain Name Registration — You must pay an annual fee to register your domain name (www.yourdomain.com). This fee starts at $15 and ensures that your domain name cannot be claimed by anyone else. Prices are subject to change. I can assist you in registering your site, or register it for you.
  • Web Site Hosting — In order for people to view your site, you need to have your files hosted on a public server. These fees can be assessed monthly, quarterly or yearly. My fees for this service start as low as $7.50/month, depending on the size of your site and types of features it requires.
  • Site Maintenance — If you need minor changes made to your site, I can bill you monthly or quarterly, based on an hourly fee. For more extensive changes, I can provide a price quote.
  • Contact me  for more information.

— Standards-Compliant Coding —

There are some very good reasons why you should insist that your web site uses coding that meets the standards established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). All new sites I develop meet these standards.

  • Consistency & Stability —Compliant web pages have the best chance of looking the same on all browsers. The standards ensure existing content will look similar in browsers of the future while still producing adequate results on older, legacy browsers.
  • Accessibility — Compliant coding allows web access to people using special browsers — such as those that read web pages aloud or translate text into Braille — and hand-held browsers with small monitors.
  • Convertibility — Compliant documents (especially XHTML) can easily be converted to other formats, such as databases or word-processor documents. This allows for simplified migration to new systems such as TVs and PDAs (hand-held computers).

You can verify the HTML/XHTML coding compliance of any site by visiting the W3C Markup Validation Service and typing/pasting the web address of any site into the form there.

You can verify the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) coding of any site by visiting the W3C CSS Validation Service and typing/pasting the web address of any site into that form.

The W3C allows the display of the icons shown at the bottom of this site for validated coding.
